I have a question about the Noe connection. I show Sarah Tennison m. John Noe sometime before 16 Jan 1726 in Charles Co, MD. They had 8 children of whom one was Leah. Leah Noe and Thomas Burch were convicted of "bastardy" in Charles Co. about 1725. They had twins out of wedlock. I have not been able to determine the names or gender of these twins and I find nothing further of Leah. Thomas later married.
There is unsubstantiated information being passed around that the twins were girls named Priscilla and Rachel and that Priscilla married William Poston. There is no doubt that William's wife was named Priscilla (his will) but I have nothing to prove she was one of the twins. There is circumstantial evidence that William provided for a "sister-in-law" named Rachel Noe. The answer to this question will determine whether or not my husband is related to the Tennison and Burch families. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can provide.
Winifred
