Dan, could your John Terhune have lived
some time in N.J. My son's Terhune line,
which I am researching, has his gggrandmother
Hannah Matilda Terhune, born 1836, Saddle
River, N.J. died 1914, NYC. Her father was
John Albert Terhune, b. 1804, his father was
Albert John Terhune, b. 1781, his father was
John Terhune, b. 1758, and so on back to a
Johannes Terhunne born prior to 1600 in
Holland. I looked through Ancestry.Com and
found 2 Am. Civil War Soldiers from Indiana
(of course aft. 1850), several marriage
records from Johnson Co., Indiana, none prior
to 1850, perhaps a son. Good luck, let me
know if I can help.
