Your Elizabeth Shepherd (Schaffer) who married Isaac Terhune was a sister to my 2nd great-grandmother, Abigail Schaffer (who also lived in Illinois and married Joseph Woolsey). I do not have records of any children for Isaac and Elizabeth, but I would be interested in knowing this data. I know a little bit about the ancestry of Elizabeth and Abigail, but it is sketchy. Would love to know more.
I show a line for Isaac Terhune back to the immigrant, but I assume you already have that. Will be happy to share anything that is of interest to you.

[Shepherd is the English word for German Schaffer. Some of these Schaffer's gradually changed their name to Shepherd over the years. It took me a long time to find Elizabeth's marriage record because I always looked for Schaffer. But I knew, from Abigail's descendants, that the husband was Isaac Terhune, so I finally figured out that it was the record for Elizabeth Shepherd.]
