Could you be a tad more specific....like WHERE he was born? NY? NJ? KY? IN? ILL? MO? And the names of the "contenders"? By 1816 there were probably about 10 Albert Terhunes being born - it's no wonder you have two sets of parents ... you MIGHT have had 8 or 9 possibilities !!! 8^) Do you have the names of your Albert's children? Terhunes often followed the tradition of naming the first son for his paternal grandfather and the second for his maternal grandfather. Likewise daughters 1 and 2 for their grandmothers.
