Terhune Finnish?

Did anyone else read the article "American Surnames" by Elsdon C. Smith that is on the website today? It says that Terhune comes from the Finnish Terhunen!
I have always known that Terhune was a Dutch name and all the research I have done so far seems to confirm it. The original American Terhune's first name was Albert and he came to the U.S. from Holland in 1631. Does anyone have any information about the name coming from the Finnish?
