I posted a message about Sarah J Terrell b Apr 1869 on May 27, 2011. I found today her name was not Sarah but Susan, thanks to a helpful person who answered a query.
She was the daughter of Alford Turner Terrell and Amanda ??. They are found in the 1880 Henderson Co TN census, Series T9 roll 1262 pg 394 under the name Turner Terrell. They are in the Henderson Co TN 1870 census M593 roll 1537 pg 68 under the name Alford T Terrell. Their oldest child William A was 3 years old so they were probably married ca 1865-66.
Susan died in Bowie Co TX 1902, buried in Oak Grove Cemetery showing her to be the wife of Dr. R.H. Fanning. Her parents are buried in the same cemetery.
I have checked the Henderson Co TN marriage records that are on line but I did not find a marriage for Susan and Robert.
I welcome any additional information.
