I've been browsing messages on the Terrill Forum. I feel sorry for you that you're being unable to obtain the pictures, etc. I must say I had an aunt who was totally opposite - when she learned I was researching our Terrill/Tyrell tree she offered that I go through the boxes of pictures, etc. With all the Terrills/Tyrels/Tyrells, I guess the chances of any ties with your line are very slim.My direct Tyrell line came from New York.William Shalor Tyrell, who was my gg grandfather, was killed in the Civil War.
This line is traced back by another researcher in a tree which is online. Most of this line seemed to have stayed in NY.
My gg grandfather migrated to Michigan in the mid 1850s.William's parents (my ggg grandparents) migrated to Ohio and then Michigan as well. My gg grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Coon who was m. to Wm. S. Tyrell was of the New York Coon line, a daughter of Joseph Coon b. 1791 and Lydia Coon b. 1794. My Coon line has been a really tough one to trace.
