Carl Jacob Teschemacher, b. ca 1785, Prussia, m. Juliane Naumann, Aug. 1812 in province of Westfalen. Arrived in US with large family 1836. 11th and last child b. Philadelphia. Apparently traveled to Indiana, and then south. In 1850 US census he, wife, and 2 daughters in Mobile, Alabama. He listed as Teacher. He d. Aug. 1855 in Vickburg, Mississippi. Son-in-law Francis Joseph Wilhelm Gottseelig administered estate. Gottseelig had m. Julia Albertine Teschemacher. They became my great grandparents. Interested in contact re: this family. Also, Gottseelig who came from Wurttemberg!
