Hi Pat, I just went back in my records such as they are and found that my Jean(John)Baptiste Tessier/Casey and Marie Grossman had a son Charles b. abt. October 1853 in Buffalo. This is recorded in the St. Pierre Church records on microfilm #1292741. It also seems that Jean Baptiste's folks had a son Charles Tessier. These people were Joseph Tessier/Casey and Madeleine Beauchamp. This Charles was born about 1810. In the church records Charles is written as Carolinum. Then my Jean Maxime Tessier/Casey had a son Charles with his 2nd wife. This Charles was born in abt. 1871. So there would seem to be three generations of Charles in my group of Caseys.
I am slowly in the process of cleaning up my desk and reorganizing my "stuff". I will keep you posted if I come across anything more. This family is certainly a high maintenance bunch. I have spent more time on this group with more dead ends than any other line I am researching. It truly is frustrating. Sara
