Frank Tacia was born 23 July 1802 in Berthier, Quebec, and was baptised François-Xavier Tessier at the parish church in St. Cuthbert. His parents were François-Xavier Tessier and Therese Robillard. Therese died 11 May 1803. The other children from this marriage were Marie-Victoire and Marie-Judith. François re-married 28 May 1804 to Marie-Charlotte Miville dit Deschenes. Among the children of this second marriage was my great-great grandfather, Léon Tessier. François and Charlotte left Berthier in about 1812, and in 1814 can be found living in Massena Township, NY. All of the children are there and appear frequently in the records of the mission church at St. Regis, Quebec, which was the closet Catholic church at that time. The marriages of Marie-Victoire and Marie-Judith are recorded at St. Regis, but François' marriage has not been found.

What is your relationship to Frank Tacia/Tessier?
