There are so many lines that it's inevitable to have members of the First Nations in the tree. The key to finding out if there are any in your line is to look at surnames. If there's a name like Savage/Sauvage/Savauge, then it's a pretty clear indication. The reason is that the priests who recorded the marriages wouldn't use just a first name. So they'd use the "Christian" first name of the native and use Savage as the surname.
