Hi Sara, Hi Jan! Hello Albert! I'm a "Casey from Saginaw, Michigan. I've had a really hard time finding my initial forefathers, but it's looking more and more like I'm descended from Urbain. I've found Alex and Fanny "Casey" located in Saginaw in 1884. I'm not sure why they were using the name Casey at that time, but my grandfather David and his wife Edna had to legally change their name in 1914 from Tessier to Casey. Hard to figure out exactly what was going on with this family, but it does seem rather strange.
I've also found the death notice of a Charles Casey who was a child of Alex and Fanny, and yet they had another child by that name as well. This Charles was christened with the "Casey" name, yet my grandfather who was born afterwards had to legally change their name to Casey...go figure.
