Hello everyone!
I'm a Massachusetts Tessier with very few living or recently living Tessier relatives and after perusing the boards I was hoping someone might be able to help me find a way to trace my line back.
Here's as much as I know starting with me and working backwards:
My father is Henry Tessier, born 1950 in Weymouth, MA.
His father was Robert Tessier, unknown birthdate and place, probably 1910-1920. He was a mailman in Hingham, MA and died in 1958-9. He married Doris Orr (whose family were Hands and Orrs and Casgrains). They had 3 sons, Henry, Robert and Stephen.
I heard stories that are similar to people's on here, about name changes coming across the border, etc. I also heard that they come for 3 Rivers, Quebec, and that somewhere along the lines there was some Native American blood mixed in. This is all I really know, but I want to know more!!
Anyone know anything? Anyone know where I can start looking?
