I have heard stories of this case my whole life. My people are Cadieuxs. My great-grandfather talked his children into participating, and they all lost their life-savings (along with several other Cadieux kinfolk), however paltry they may have been. The only Tessier-Lavigne connection I can find is a Cadieux girl married a Viau, had a son who married a Tessier-Lavigne, but that would not have made any Cadieuxs direct heirs. Is there some other Cadieux connection to the case?
