Aloha, Jean Dubois & Jeanne Rault were married 23 Nov 1693 at Champlain. Jeanne's parents were Alexandre & Marie Desrosiers who were married 19 Feb 1664 at Trois-Rivieres. Jeanne was the 3rd of their 10 kids born about 1678 probably in or near Trois-Riviers or Champlain which are not far from each other. Alexandre Rault's parents were Louis & Jacqueline Robin who did not come to Quebec. Alexandre was from Ile d'Aix near LaRochelle, France. Marie Desrosiers' parents were Antoine & Anne LeNeuf who signed a marriage contract on 14 24 Nov 1647 at Trois-Rivieres before the notary Boujonnier. We don't know who Antoine's parents were but he came from France. Anne Leneuf was the legitimate or illegitimate daughter (mother's name unknown today), born in France, of Michel Leneuf from Caen, France. Michel Leneuf was the son of Mathieu Leneuf, Lord of Herisson, who did not come to Canada and Jeanne Marchand or LeMarchand who did come to Canada with her 4 kids including Michel. Mathieu and Jeanne were married at Caen, France about 1600. The above info is from Rene Jette's excellent "Dictionnaire genealogique des familles du Quebec, des origines a 1730" which has more info on this family than this 2-fingered typist can handle. I do not have a scanner. Best, Jerry
