I know we have communicated before. I have since found out that my ggrandfather Alexander Tessier/Casey was born in Montreal in the 1850's. His wife Stephanie Corbeil (Corby?) was also born there. They ended up in Michigan via Peterborough, Ontario and then Port Huron, Michigan, Detroit and eventually, Saginaw. The land story is definitely in my family's background. I am still anxious to hear if Alexander had any siblings and who his parents were. If you hear anything or if anyone has information I would greatly appreciate it.
