Thank you for your info. I just received an email from Marc Tessier ( giving me the apparent connection of leon to Amable to Francois to Paul to Paul to Urbain. I will forward it to you. Maybe he can help. I also found another Leandre who married Euphemie Gibeault on Sept 9 1831 at Notre Dame in Montreal. I connected him to Louis to Nicolas to Nicolas to Jean-Baptiste to Urbain. I thought it possible that this could have been a first marriage and Jane Portus a second but could not confirm that they were the same Leandre (or Leon). If Marc Tessier is right then they are not the same. However, maybe your Leon had two marriages!!!
