My wife's maternal ancestry is TACY or TACEY. My notes say that some think the name derived from French TESSIER. Know anything about that? If so, I can share some info. My wife's ancestor was a Doctor from France, educated in England, and came to America about 1818 via Louisiana. He became a land owner and practiced medicine in Fluvanna County, VA, later in Pocahontas Co, WV. Charles R Leary and Juanita M Leary
