HI Jan, It would be great if you knew any of the names we have and how they might be related. From the sounds of the letters that go back and forth there must be different lines involved, our line is from Jean Tessier dit LaVigne b 11-16-1797 at Chateauguay, P.Q. He was married to Pelagie LeBoeuf, Were still trying to find date they moved to St Clair,MI(abt 1839). They had 6 children that I have know of so far, I believe there are more, still working on that. One of the reports I have lists names and street adresses form families with the last names of Bouchard, Lefebvre, Tessier, Boyer, Chauvin, Campau, Campeau, Casse, Reaume. Then theres a page with marriage dates for the last names of several Moras,a few Moran, and a Margaret Tessier, Catherine Tessier. Most of the Family letters seem to be from Marine City, One cousin that seems to be running thing for Bay city was Herbert Beattie, he refers to a John Lavigne at Ludington and we have several letters from a Mrs Louis Lavigne whos husband had a brother Jack and were the grandsons of Jean who it seems was always called John. The Board of Directors names are Martin Schap, Robert Cale, Elmer Skinner, Theo St Marie, Gordon DuChene, George DuChene, George Lavigne and J.Clyde Lewis. Some of the other names that are mentioned are Amelia Smith, Zoe Ginov Jenette Recor. William A Lavigne and I think his wife Molly(?) seem to be the ones who got in trouble over this lawsuit they were supposed to turn money over to people in Montreal for the families Genealogys and did some thing with the money and the police were supposed to looking into it.Dont know how that ended though. hopefully some of this made sense, were still trying to put pieces together and the generation that knew about this has all passed. thanks from Troy MI, Diane
