Jan,

You mentioned that you were interested in learning the names of any lawyers connected to the land claim. I remember my grandfather saying that many years ago he had paid or his father had paid a lawyer re this dispute. He gave me numerous papers which include correspondence between a lawyer by the name of Lee G. Sheffer and several people in Montreal including church and government (I think) personnel. As I cannot figure out how to use my scanner yet and there are several pages, just e-mail me if you would like me to mail them to you. It includes several pages in french if you are able to read it. As I am new to this thing called genealogy, I would love to know what all of these papers mean!!!!
