Tessier dit LAVIGNE land claim

Hi Everyone;
I have just received a copy of the Dec 8 1930 newspaper article on the Tessier dit Lavigne land claim. Very interesting! Once I re-type it and save it to disk I could email it to interested parties.
The article indicates that a missing document was needed in order to prove title to the estate.
My father use to tell us that the Grey Nuns betrayed the Tessiers (no disrespect intended) although I have not come across any evidence of a Grey Nun connection to the land claim.
I did however once meet a Tessier (stranger) at a workshop I attended. She knew nothing about the land claim but did indicate some of her Montreal ancestors were Grey Nuns in Quebec. Who knows, maybe there is a Grey Nun connection to this story that has been lost in the centuries past. My Grandfather who was involved in the 1930 law suit sure thought so.
