Hi Gerry;
A number of years ago I received a letter from a Montreal Genealogy Society regarding this plaque. It is my understanding that the plaque involves the Bank of Montreal and not the Royal Bank. I am also under the impression that the bank is still standing , along with the plaque. I do have the street name which I will dig out for you when I have a few momemts. It should not be too difficult to obtain the Bank address.
