I am looking for a male Tessier and Female Pilon connection. They had one son born 2/6/1886, then Mother Pilon died shortly thereafter. Father Tessier re-married and Son Tessier was raised by Pilons in the area between western Montana and Alberta (or perhaps Sasketchewan) Canada. This son is my grandfather. My father remembers his father's uncles as being 'Archer' and 'Orin' Pilon. They were very active in trading horses across the border between Montana and Canada. My grandfather's name supposedly is William Douglas Tessier, but I have been told that his name may have been changed. Family myth now has it he was born in Quebec! One of my Grandfather's half brothers was Alfred Tessier (would have been born after 1886). Tradition refers to my great-grandfather as Grandpa John, but upon close questioning no one knows if this was his birth name or if it had been anglicized. It could be John,Jacques or Jean. These were all very traditional French speaking people. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
