Dear Fred,

I have confirmation that Jean (John) Tessier and Leonie Pilon were married abt 1885. They had one son, William Douglas Tessier, b 2/6/1886.

I suspect they may have been married at St. Timothee Beauharnois Salaberry, QC. Although I do not have confirmation of that yet. Leonie died sometime around 1890. According to family, she may have died in a second childbirth and the child died with her.

I would like to trace Jean Tessier's lineage, I have Leonie's. I believe he was born in the same parish that he and Leonie were married.

BTW, I notice there is a St. Stanislas on the north side of Lac St. Jean. Is that the same St. Stanislas that Jean and Marie Celina Dehonville were married? Or is there a St. Stanislas closer to Beauharnois?
