Hi Diane-

I'm excited. I think the Mrs. LaVigne you refer to was my step great grandmother --wife of Louis LaVigne from Marine City. I know he had twelve siblings -- possibly a Jack. My grandfather Leslie LaVigne gave me two pages of handwritten genealogy Mrs. LaVigne wrote up back in 1930 -- going all the way back to Urbain Tessier dit LaVigne in Montreal. It was incredibly accurate -- until the children of Jean Baptiste & Pelagie LaBoeuf.
I believe their son Jean Baptiste? later James? was my gg grandfather, born in 1830 at Beauhamois. He married Francis Genet in Anchorville on 10/20/1860. Any info on him or his son Louis LaVigne, my great grandfather born in 1875?
