Joseph Tesson

Does anyone know of the possibility that Joseph Tesson was with the Mormon Battalion under Phillip St. George Cooke in the Mexican War? They list a guide named Tasson, as they also list a Charbonneauz, it could be a misspelling.

Tesson was a guide for Harney at the Battle of Ash Hollow and Phillip St. George Cooke was also there.
