Seem like i read a few years ago in 'Billon's Annuls of St. Louis that Honore tesson operated a ferry that crossed the river in the early days of st.louis, hence 'Tesson Ferry Road' but I could be wrong, at the time I was reading the book, I was interested in another surname. Plus a lot of times there are 'legends' that have little or no basis! By the way that is a great book
