Don, I wish I had a bell to ring!! He may be the one. I am just beginning this research, and no NOTHING!! I have connected with my grandfather's siblings lineage, and found the middle inital for John, and know he was listed in the 1900 MO. census, with year of 1852, Ohio. He passed through or at least met and married Elvira Brooks from Grand River, Iowa, then lived in Hamburg, Ia, and Northern Mo. Remember hearing my grandfather talk of someone coming across the country with all he owned carried on his back. Could be ggrandfather John. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
