Jan,

With your info, I think perhaps some of the info I have read and noted from these posts are incorrect.

If I may, I would like to start with John George Teter of Opoquon River VA.
He is said to have been the Jorg Dieter (George Dieter) who came to Philadelphia PA in 1729 on the Allen.
Also is said he had 3 sons:
John George b. Mar 1739 (later went to KY)
John b.? (went to southwest VA)
Samuel Teter b. 1737. (went to PA then Ohio)

However, you indicate that there was no John George who went to KY, but a George William Teater b. abt 1736 of Washington MD who went to KY.

As for John (who went to SW VA), is this supposed to be the John who, according to your theory, was the s/o Jacob of 1745 Frederick Co.VA & went to Washington Co., VA (SW VA)? Or the John of Washington Co., MD who may have went to Greenbrier & on to Washington Co., VA?

And Samuel b. 1737, is this supposed to be the Samuel Gibson Teater who was in Bedford in 1768 & later with George Wm Teater in KY? Where was Samuel originaly from or when does he first appear? Was he from Washingon MD?

If George Wm Teater, Samuel Teter, and John are not the sons of John George of Opoquon River VA, then who were his sons?
Was this John George of Opoquon VA the same George of 1744 Frederick VA since Frederick was formed to the north of Orange Co? And could Jacob Teter of 1745 Frederick been his son?

Thanks
