Thankyou Pearl. Its very nice to have a cival debate. The title of both papers i suggested you to read on the cover are spelled Deter.
There are some facts that show several srong points. The George Teater of Kentucky s head stone was found 30 years ago with his wife. It says 79 yrs old 1815. his will was issued the same year. By those 2 events he cannont be the born in 1739.
Samuel Teater in his hand wrote his birth as 1735. Here agian he could not be the Samuel Dieter born in the 1740s.
Naming patterns show that several brothers William Tetterton and Samuel Tetterton also spelled Tator Tettor Tedder. lived in Tyrell NC. Thier inlaw col John Worley was the father of the Archor Worley who was one of the 1st indian traders at a settlement in Penn where Samuel Teater lived for some time.
His grandson Joesph was the brother inlaw of Samuel Teater.
In addition most of the George Teater of Kentuckys inlaws can also be traced right back to the old Ablemarle area of North Carolina.
William Tetter married Elizabeth Gibson Col John Worley was a inlaw of William Tetter thru the Learys.
If Samuel took the middle name Gibson it was customary at the time to use a middle name or 1st name to signify the mothers maiden name.
There are 3 branchs in North Carolina and Virginia the Highland Scotts the Saponi s later in 1810 coined Melungeons and the Scotch mixed tuscarora family of chief Walter Gibson the the NC Regulator and uncle of the famous general Elijah Clark.
Here again the the naming patterns of Samuel George William ect continue. The other George Teeder Teeter was the son of Samuel Tetterton and Mary Evans.
I havent completed the will of Elijah Evans yet. He was the grandson of Thomas Evans father inlaw of Samuel Tetterton
on one article of his will in Garrard kentucky he names Parris Teator the executor of his will.
the 1789 tax list of Madison show 2 George Tetor SR s and 2 JR s and 2 Samuels. the other George Tetor SR and JR are the from Dobbs North carolina sons of George Teeder SR fron Beufort and Rowan nc.
The Gov of Washington county Virg in his writings name the george Tutor Tetor spelled both ways as Scotch Irish.
He was memeber of the Church of Scotlands Prebytry of Rev Cummings congragation.
In addition there was another Teater who lived on the same tract named Jacob Jeter from John Jeter a French Hugeunot who also spelled thier name Teater Teter ect.
I would take near a whole book to put this all in sequence. So please be patient a little while longer I have a few more documents that need to be transcribed or examined then I will be done. I dont want to write a book or anything of the sort Id rather the family folks see it for free and then make up thier own conclusions.
I still suggest you read the 2 papers i mentioned.
By the way Iam not a she Iam a he Jan as the actor Jan Micheal Vincent. Iam retired combat disabled veteran and put in few years so folks like you could keep your constitutional rights to write.
