Hi Jan,
I have a John Teeter (a patriot during Revolution -DAR records) His family was from Germany. His wife was Eve Turney. Her father was Henry A. Tournai from France. He lived in Washington County, Va in 1779. Eve also had a brother Peter. Peter's grandson Peter Turney was Govenor of Tennessee 1895 in Winchester, Tn.
John and Eve are parents of Mary, Elizabeth, Jacob and Catherine.
Mary married George Knicely-their daughter was Sarah. Sarah married William Hancher Jr. about 1812.He was ordained in 1836 as a Lutheran minister.
Sarah and William's daughter was Catherine.
Catherine married John Greer(Grier)in 1844. Their son Alfred Fox Greer (Born 1863) is my grandfather.

Do I have all this info correct?
Any corrections would surely be appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Valerie
