Do you have a source for that?

I know that Geoerge Teeter Jr was recommended for Ensign in the Washington County Militia in August of 1778 (summers, 1929:1001), but I've not seen a record for him after that date---except in Summers, 1903, where he's listed as an Ensign on a list that covers a range of dates 1777-1780--basically, if you were an ensign sometime during this period you got on the list.

Thank you for the McSpadden lead, I'll follow that up on Southern Campaigns to see exactly what it has to say.

Note that Samuel's recollection of dates seems to be fairly unreliable. That's why he was turned down for a pension. He's approximately right, but sometimes off by a year or two. In the case of most importance to him, he places events that he participated in, that occurred during the Revolution, at dates after the Revolution--and so his pension application got tossed.
