The Manuscript by Joesph Kellogg written decades before the internet named John George Teter Dieter born 1739 Opequon as the George Teater of Kentucky and Washington Co.
A 2nd book the Teaters of Kentucky 1790s by Patsy Benton Co authored by Glen and Howard Teater merely quoted the earlier manuscript by Joseph Kellogg.

This is the reason why some Teater family members are out of date. They do not have the correct information and relying on old incorrect inforamtion.
The manuscript the Detter Line published by the Quakers way back in the 1850s shows the John George Dieters ship Allen to Opequon Virg. to PA. . It even shows exactly the grave locations of John George Dieter 1st ship Allen to Opequon to PA John George Dieter 2nd which is written by Kellogg as the KY Teater. It shows where his son John George Dieter 3rd all buried in a old German Dunker cemetery in PA

The Teter Hinkles, Jeff Carr have already corrected their part of the Teter manuscript where as the Kentucky line has failed to do so. Except for several dedicated Teater family reserchers.
Patsey Benton has since died. It is to my information that Glen Teater is working on a 2nd book update to make adjustments. NO 1 George Teater was born 1736. No 2 he was not named John George Dieter NO 3 He was not the John George Dieter born 1739 Opequon. no 4 he never known as John and other additions. QUOTED from Joseph Kellogg.

.
This must to do. Has been done by Jeff Carr for Teter Hinkles ,but not the Teaters of Kentucky.

Glen Teater E Mail to the family of William Jake Teater line of Parris Teater did not have brackets this was added in by cousin to cousin and myself. His information used to describe
George Teater s and Wife Sarah are more like this.

Found in the 1970s under 2 inches of mud . place Teater cemetery old Teater farm words YE then .G.T. THEN 79 YEARS OLD then 1815. placed next was headstone S. T. 1794.

IN 1796 George Teater remarried Esther Griffith. his son inlaw Samuel Griffith was Bondsman.

After 1802 George Teater married another Ester she was the wife of Benjamin Totton Sr.

Benjamin Totten is misreported died 1794. He was well and alive as Capt Benjamin Totten appointed by Gov Sevier 1802 Jackson TN. see letters of Sevier and 1802 Jackson TN taxlist. See family Power Of Attorney Garrad Court Overton TN deeds

Goerge Teater married Ester the mother inlaw of his son Parris sometime after 1802 his 3rd wife and 2nd named Ester.
The Overton TN court records and deeds are clear enough on his topic.

George Teater Sr married the widow of Benjamin Totten Sr
2 of George Teaters sons are named as Richard and Parris.
No other Teater children are named. It means the children of 2nd wife and 1st wife Sarah except Richard and Parris and Esther Griffith were not involved in the Totten case to recover a land from David Doak.

George Teater married Sarah Pearis 1760 to 62 she died 1794 KY
George Teater married Esther Griffith 1796 Madison KY
his son in law Samuel Griffith Bondsman

George Teater married 3rd wife Ester widow of Benjamin Totten between 1802 an 1813,

Here is email of Glen Teater - hgteater@alltel.net. Perhaps he may give you summary of George Teater s headstone.
