There is website of the whole Graveyard detailing the persons dates locations placement ect. I will try to hunt it up.
Below is a report inspection by a Totten family member on the subject Walt Morrow ,heres his report. late Ester Totten married George Teter. Don't know if the Samuel Griffith is a part of that family but given conditions in those days I wouldn't be surprised. It is clear from the context of the document that Ester was the widow of Benjamin Totten Sr. The action was for Benjamin Totten Jr to recover property from David Doak of Montgomery County VA upon which Benjamin Totten Sr had apparently had a claim. No one has reported finding documentation of such a claim in VA so far. Joseph H. Totten and his two wives are buried in the Lancaster KY City cemetary. George Teter Sr and his first wife Sara Pearis are buried in the small cemetary on their farm along the KY River as are Rebecca Totten and her husband Rev Paris Teter. From the placement of the graves there it doesn't seem to me that Ester Totten Teter is buried there. Joseph H. Totten spoke of having a plot of ground where some of his family were buried. If this is not the section in the Lancaster City Cemetary where Joseph H. Totten and his children are buried then there must be another plot somewhere along route 39 in Garrard County. Easter outlived George Teter by a number of years and must have had some involvment with George Teter's burial next to Sarah. It is interesting to note that the original field stone markers at George and Sarah's graves on the farm are not there but are in the DAR section of the State Cemetary inFrankfort, KY. I found them several years ago, much to my surprise and some of the Teter descendants of George and Sarah confirmed that the stones had been moved while the new monument was placed over the actual graves on the farm.
