Hi Governor David Campbell drew a list of the Scotch Irish Presbyterians who where in Washington Co by 1770 he named George Teater as one of them . He further stated the German Teters came after that date which would be John Teeter 1773.
GeorgeTteater lived at the Middle Fork of the Holston whereas John Tteeter lived at the North Fork area. This is easly proved by thier records see below.BOTETOURT COURT ORDERS
Page 86. John Heavin, Sr. and Sarah Heavin to their sons Howard and John
Heavin. For a valuable consideration. 330 acres on the south side of Woods
River. (New River).

Page 87. Israel Christian to Aaron Lewis. 1000 pounds. Bond to make good the
title to 80 acres of land.

Page 88. March 4, 1770. George Teater and Sarah his wife to Howard Heavin. 10
pounds. 85 acres on Crab Creek, a branch of the New River.

George Teater sold his land at the South Irish Colony of Crab Creek in Augusta to Howard Heavin. George Teater bought that land in 1768 then left 1770 to his new land Bakers Creek Botetourt Fincaslte Washington Co.
Prior to 1768 George Teater was named in St Johns Georgia Crown Land and Headrights 1765. He may have recieved a a Land Bounty there for his service in the French Indian War.
He was Recorded discharged as a Sgt in Nathaniel Gists Co 1762.
The Burke and Shell manuscripts name the Heavins as cousins of George Pearis Parris wife Sarah Pepper. Therefore the connection between Howard Heavin and George Teater should be thru his wife Sarah.

Gov Campbell deciphered the 2 Teaters of Washington co by his dates that George Teater 1770 of Bakers Creek was Scotch irish where as John Teeter 1773 was the German Teeter.
The history of Fort Wayne Indiana reconfirms Gov Campbell in which it states Susanah Teeter was Scotch Irish being the daughter of William Teater and Nancy Ross Garrard Kentucky.

The will of Samuel Teater Howard MO shows he had a daughter Mary Harris but not Timothy. The will of William Vancleave mentions George Tteater Squire Boone and the Harris sur name.
There is a will of George Teater jr in Boone Co Mo. He maybe the father of your Harris girl I dont have a copy anymore but ill see if can find another source..
