Dee thanks, I thinlk this will take some time to decipher the Harris Teater family and Vancleaves. I found Tyree Harris was living 1750s in Anson Co NC with Thomas Reynolds..
i also finally found the origins of George Teater and Samuel Teater. I have enough records to show they were the line of John Detlor. The Germans came to Limericak Ireland 1690s..
They used Tettlor Tettler Teter Tedder Ect.
There are enough Tax records in Ireland to show exactly the the people with George Teater Smeltzer Ingles Miller many more were all from the same town in in Ireland.
It appears that George and Sameul were 3rd generation mixed with both Scotch and Irish settlers back in Ireland..
Tesky and Detlors came to Ireland 1680s 1690s.
The exact same Paul Smeltzer who listed with Frederick Starn and George Teater on the Crab Creek deeds is found back in Limerick Ireland with 2 George Tetlors Teters on the Dublin Tax returns. A large group several Thousand Germans Welsh Scotch were all bought in to Limerick as workers on a Irish lords plantation. The Parris family Peppers Griffiths Ingles Teters Smeltzers. are all found in the same 2 towns in Southern Ireland.
George Teaters great grandfather shows as John Tettler from Germany or Adam Tettler 1690 who came to Ireland.
They intermeixed with the Scotch Welsh irish and all founded the old Methodist church there.,
The Jacob George and Samuel Teder Tettler Teator ect of NC show to be same ones back in Ireland. By the time they came to NC and Georgia they were 3rd generation born Germans of in Ireland. I will attach some followups which show how this happened. Though George and Samuels great grandfather came to Ireland 1690 s they were Irish by citizenship and mixed with the Welsh and Irish Scotch by the 2nd and 3rd generation back in Limerick Ireland..
Ace
