After a couple of years of searching I think (maybe)I MAY have identified my Great Great Grandfather John W. Epperson who died April 1886 in Vernon County, Missouri.

Subject to several "IF'S":

If the Jno Wm Epperson listed in the 1850 Bourbon County, Ky. (age is right) head of household is Rebecca age 42; also, lists a Tevebaugh....

If on page 262 of "The Story of David Epperson..." by Edna Epperson Brinkman, 1933 is accurate, "Epperson, Thomas, orphans of same, William, Lucy D., James W. and Thomas, John Tevebough, guardian, April 1839"....

If on page 263 of the same book; Marriages Bourbon County; "Epperson, Thomas, June 2, 1826, m. Rebecca Tevebough"....

If on same page of the same book; Clark County Marriages; "Epperson, Johm W., m. Mary Clem, December 3, 1857"....

IF all of the above is correct, after 4 or 5 years I have located Great Great Grandparents John W. and Mary J. Epperson; and his mother was Rebecca Tevebaugh.

If not I keep searching.

Any thoughts, suggestions?
