Toxic Data Reports
Posted by: John Tevebaugh (ID *****2204) Date: March 23, 2010 at 16:10:19

Some of us who do family research about Tevebaughs and Teverbaughs, and other families, worry because there is too much data on web sites that is inaccurate and undocumented, and it continues to circulate to new and unsuspecting searchers, poisoning their data. We think it would help our colleagues, new and old, if we could warn persons about such web sites, incorrect material and myths that have been disproved or where one will find inaccurate data about our earlier generations. Often persons responsible for the toxic data are unaware that their information is incorrect, or they cannot be reached to make corrections. Regrettably, some may refuse to correct their errors. Please remember, we are concerned with documentable evidence and the identification of reliable sources, and the use of public records. Those of you who want to obtaining accurate information from internet sources should communicate with me about this. John L. Tevebaugh
