One example of such infection is found in the huge Josephine Lindsay Bass and Becky [Rebecca Bass] Bonner, MySouthernFamily [http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/mysouthernfamily/] where the Basses took all of the Sherri Phipps material from GenCircles, "Westfall's and other families," relating to Elizabeth "Tevebaugh" and Michael Ernst Hoerner [later Harness]despite the fact that only 5 birthdates were almost correct, 7 not at all; only 1 birthplace correct and another almost; 3 of the 4 middle- nicknames were incorrect; and one child omitted entirely. The mother's father's surname was misspelled and the mother's surname was given as one that would not be created until 60 years after her birth. Using these toxic data will poison your Dieffenbach, Tevebaugh and Harness family records. In addition they took Phipps unethical reprinting of an extensive portion of a previously published essay. You should avoid this work.
