Esther Button (1. Scott)(2. Estes) did marry (3.Paul Hill) in West Union, IA on April 11, 1886. On the marriage record, she lists her parents as Henry Button and Sally Fletcher. Esther Button and Zerah Scott had one child Henry Winfield Scott. That was my father's grandfather.
Esther Button (Scott, Estes) Hill died on March 29, 1899 in West Union, Fayette Co., IA. Her son Henry Winfield Scott attended her funeral traveling in from Dubuque, IA. She was buried in the West Union, IA Cemetery. Paul Hill died July 6, 1896 in Elizabethtown Essex Co., NY while traveling with his wife Esther.
Do you have any information on Henry Button's father Joseph Button. I understand he was in the Rev. War???
Esther Button Scott's only son, Henry Winfield Scott did not have the family bible.
