Margaret Thackston

Matthew McCrary (1802-1880) of Greenville, S.C., supposedly married a Margaret C. Thackston (1825-1902). Both were buried in the Clear Spring Baptist Church Cemetery, Simpsonville, Greenville County, S.C. The marriage seems to have been later in his life because he was still single in 1850. That indicates that Margaret C. Thackston may have been a Thackston widow. In the 1880 census, Margaret C. McCrary was enumerated as H.H., 54, a widow, and living with her was a Mary Garrett, single, 43. Does anyone know anything about Margaret C. McCrary or Mary Garrett? (There is a Miss M.J. Garrett, 1835-1903, buried in Clear Spring Cemetery.)
