I don't know if this means anything but I am a Theis/Theiss descendant with relatives in Kahoka, MO; however, those Theis in MO no longer spelled their name Theis/s but by then had changed the spelling to DICE. But I'm wondering if your Phillippina may not have known them and have come from the same village(s)in Germany where most of my THeis/Dice still were. Where did your Phillippina come from in Germany? My German Theis/s also knew Bartels by the way. It is another old surname from the village.
