I have been given the connection between our families and have proven all but Rodger 1625 the rest are from church record transcripts.
your Edward and my George were brothers . I am from George whos first son John came to Australia in 1826.

       He married an unknown person circa 1646.

       Rodger became the father of Ralph THEW in Northumberland, circa 1646.

       Rodger THEW had the following child:

+        2        i.        Ralph2 THEW was born 18/12/1646.

Second Generation


       2. Ralph2 THEW (Rodger1) (#956) was born in Northumberland 18/12/1646.

       He married Ann CHRISTIAN. (Ann CHRISTIAN is #957.)6/6/1672 in Alanwick. Ann became the mother of John THEW in Newburn Northumberland, 7th October 1683.

       He was christened in Alanwick Northumberland, 28th December 1646. At 37 years of age Ralph became the father of John THEW in Newburn Northumberland, 7th October 1683. Ralphs details were given to me by a family member so I can not vouch for the acuracy of any of it. In those days Ralph was not in use but the name Raff was so possibly the name was quoted incorectly. Alan..

       3. John3 THEW (Ralph2, Rodger1) (#955) was born in Newburn Northumberland 7th October 1683.

       He married Elizabeth LINSEY. (Elizabeth LINSEY is #954.)14/5/1715 in Alinwick Elizabeth became the mother of Ralph THEW 7/8/1716.in Bamburg Northumberland

       At 32 years of age John became the father of Ralph THEW 7/8/1716.

       John THEW and Elizabeth LINSEY had the following child:

+        4        i.        Ralph4 THEW was born 7/8/1716. in Bamburg



Fourth Generation


       4. Ralph4 THEW (John3, Ralph2, Rodger1) (#952) was born 7/8/1716. Ralph died 29th June 1779 in Tanfield Durham, at 62 years of age.

       He married Sarah WOOD 11/9/1744 in Tanfield . (Sarah WOOD is #953.) Sarah was born in Emberton Northumberland 25th January 1721. At 32 years of age Sarah became the mother of Thomas THEW in Tanfield Durham, 9th September 1753.

       He was christened in Banburgh Northumberland, 7th August 1716. At 37 years of age Ralph became the father of Thomas THEW in Tanfield Durham, 9th September 1753.

       Ralph THEW and Sarah WOOD had the following child:

+        5        i.        Thomas5 THEW was born 9th September 1753.

       5. Thomas5 THEW (Ralph4, John3, Ralph2, Rodger1) (#446) was born in Tanfield Durham 9th September 1753. Thomas died 10th October 1812 in Tanfield Durham, at 59 years of age.

       He married Margaret CLARK in Barnard Castle Durham, 30th June 1776. (Margaret CLARK is #694.) Margaret was born in Durham 1759. At 17 years of age Margaret became the mother of George Newton THEW Tanfield Durham England, 12th Jan 1777. At 19 years of age Margaret became the mother of Ann THEW in Tanfield Durham Eng., 27th December 1778. At 22 years of age Margaret became the mother of Sarah THEW in Tanfield Durham, 6th January 1782. At 25 years of age Margaret became the mother of Elizabeth THEW in Tanfield Durham, 22nd May 1785. At 28 years of age Margaret became the mother of Thomas THEW in Tanfield Durham, 10th Febuary 1788. At 30 years of age Margaret became the mother of Margaret THEW in Tanfield Durham, 27th December 1789. At 34 years of age Margaret became the mother of Mary THEW in Tanfield Durham Eng., 6th October 1793. At 38 years of age Margaret became the mother of Martha THEW in Tanfield Durham Eng., 9th July 1797.

       At 23 years of age Thomas became the father of George Newton THEW Tanfield Durham England, 12th Jan 1777. At 25 years of age Thomas became the father of Ann THEW in Tanfield Durham Eng., 27th December 1778. At 28 years of age Thomas became the father of Sarah THEW in Tanfield Durham, 6th January 1782. At 31 years of age Thomas became the father of Elizabeth THEW in Tanfield Durham, 22nd May 1785. At 34 years of age Thomas became the father of Thomas THEW in Tanfield Durham, 10th Febuary 1788. At 36 years of age Thomas became the father of Margaret THEW in Tanfield Durham, 27th December 1789. At 40 years of age Thomas became the father of Mary THEW in Tanfield Durham Eng., 6th October 1793. At 43 years of age Thomas became the father of Martha THEW in Tanfield Durham Eng., 9th July 1797.

       Thomas THEW and Margaret CLARK had the following children:

+        6        i.        George Newton6 THEW was born 12th Jan 1777.
       7        ii.        Ann THEW (#866) was born in Tanfield Durham Eng. 27th December 1778.
       8        iii.        Sarah THEW (#867) was born in Tanfield Durham 6th January 1782.
       9        iv.        Elizabeth THEW (#868) was born in Tanfield Durham 22nd May 1785.
+        10        v.        Thomas THEW was born 10th Febuary 1788.
       11        vi.        Margaret THEW (#870) was born in Tanfield Durham 27th December 1789.
       12        vii.        Mary THEW (#871) was born in Tanfield Durham Eng. 6th October 1793.
