My Gilbert Edward Thew's father was Daniel Thew, born March 11, 1792 in NY. Daniel Thew's father was Garret Thew, born Oct 10, 1758 in NY and his father was John Thew, born July 3, 1726 in NY.
Now regarding Benjamin Thew, the only Benjamin I have is one of 9 children born to John S. Thew (born 1789) and his wife Katie Calkins. I do not have a birthdate for this Benjamin, but some of his brothers and sisters were born between 1820 and 1830.
Let me know if it looks like the same Benjamin. Fran
