Robert J. ThibedeauSr. of Tewksbury 69yrs old.a longtime Tewksbury resident and member of several veterans fraternal organizations, died Sunday morning Sept 3,2006 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Roxbury after a lengthy illess.
Bor in Somerville on Dec.31,1936 son of the late John D. and Rose (Cleary) Thibedeau. He was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville HS. He raised his family in Tewksbury and moved to Pasco, WA before returning to the Lowell area several years ago.
Before retiring he was employed as a pipefitter, and was a member of the PipeFitters Boston Local 537.
Druing the Vietnam War Mr. Thibedeau served in the Army.
He was a member of the Disabled Americans Veterans Post 110 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8164 in Tewksbury, He also was a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks and the East End Club in Lowell.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jane and Harry Leather of Jacksonville, FL, Jill Thibedeau of Lowell, three sons and a daughter-in-law Robert Thibedeau Jr. of Hillsboro, NH Michael and Jacqueline (Sutton) of Londonderrry, NH, and Daniel Thibedeau of Derry, NH; 10 grandchildren, Holly Shannon, Jacki Thibedeau, Drake Luongo and Jake Luongo of Lowell, Ashley Thibedeau, Jessica Leather, Danielle Leather, and Jennifer Leather of FL, Michael Thibedeau and Shelby Thibedeau of NH;a great-granddaughter Victoria of FL; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joan Amerault of Littleton, and Sharyn and William Woodman of Rever; his former wife, Jane F. (Woodman)Carbone of FL also many nieces and nephews. and brother the late John D. Thibedeau Jr.
Burial at Tewksbury Cemetary.
