Note: Maria Thill and John Thill were siblings, both born in Ell, Redange, Luxembourg in the 1830's. It is possible they are children of the first listed Catharina Thies, the widow of Jacob Thill of Useldange, Redange, Luxembourg. The dates plus the location of Ell to Useldange suggest this may be so.I am interested in hearing from anyone who may shed light on these people. Catharina's second husband, Peter Nierenhausen was from Useldange, Luxembourg. The family emigrated first to Sheldon, Wyoming County, NY in the early 1840's. Thus far I have not established whether the siblings, John Thill and Maria Thill, ever lived in New York state.
