Seeking any info on Edgar Wray Thistlethwaite, Canadian Cowboy, Dude wrangler, author & Western Artist. In California from the 30s until his death in the 50s! He had a college degree but loved the cowboy life so much he followed it & authored many articles on the west as well as Painting it. He did abt. 50 sketches for Cutter laboratories & had many paintings over the west, Barstow, Cal. among others! He & I were there for the `47' rodeo! He was a cowboy on the VX bar ranch out of Barstow also!
He was my Dad's best friend & he & I packed mules & wrangled dudes together out of Independance, Cal. in 1947. If I remember correctly he told me he had a brother & sister ( or more) who were college professors. I don't remember where.
He & his mother were in Piru in the 1930 census! He was a very talented man & my best friend also! I would like very much to hear from any relatives! Dean Guthery
