Ann & George Thom, Premnay, Aberdeen.
Don't know what happened. My message disappeared.
I'm looking for information about Ann Thom, (b ~1835) living in Auchleven, Premnay, Aberdeen, Scotland in 1866 and in 1881.
She had an illigitimate daughter, Jessie Glennie, in 1866. The father was James Glennie, of Little Mains of Ward House, Insch, a couple miles NW of Auchleven, near Aulton.
She had a son, George Thom, who was 10 and living with her at the 1881 census. Jessie was 15 by then, and working as a domestic servant for the Ross/Rae family in Kirkton, about 1.5 km to the NE.
Ann was listed as a domestic servant on Jessie's birth registration. She was listed as single, and as an outdoor servant on the census form in 1881.
I'd love to find out more about Ann. Also, anyone thinking they're related and wanting my info on her, I'd be glad to share.
