I am researching the Thoms line in Milwaukee, WI. I have information that can assist you greatly. We share a common ancestor. I descend from John Thoms' sister Sophie Thoms Duewell. Their father is Georg Gustav Carl Johann Thoms born March 9, 1836 Kowalz Germany. I can go back farther, too. If you are still out there, please contact me. I would be happy to share what information I have found out. According to the 1910 fed census John Thoms was a police officer. Athena Butler
