Subj:Thoms burials in Union Cemetery - Milw.

Here is the info we have. Carl Thomas was my Dad's cousin. Clifford Wilke. But we were trying to figure out how that came about.
The following names are burials in Union Cemetery in Milwaukee nearest our home when we grew up.

they have Martina Carter living with them age 47 born in Holland perhaps the mother-in-law

I thought I might have made the connection from Thoms to the family because I found a Carl Thoms whose mother's name was Pauline.
But, it seems that these people are too old. See what you think.

Pauline Thoms - age 57 (born in 1863)
Carl A Thoms - age 32 (born in 1888)
Charlotte N. age 27
Fred H. age 27
Lillian L. (Fred's wife) age 25
They lived at 448 16th Ave., which was off of Scott St. on the south side
I was thinking possibly that this might be Pauline Van Altena but her age
doesn't work out very well.
I also found some other Thoms like on 19th St. and 32nd St., but there are no Thoms named Carl except this one. Would he have been that much older than Dad?
I'll keep looking.

The way I understand it the Thoms family name originated in Scotland. Many generations ago some of them emigrated from Scotland to the Germany area of Europe. Our Thoms relatives are from the German Thoms families.
